Where should I advertise a pet sitting business is one of the most common questions that business owners want to know the answer to. There are so many places to advertise, but which ones will work best for my business.
It’s hard to decide, I get it, and often business owners don’t have the budget to do a fancy ad campaign on Facebook or Google. I get that – we all have to start somewhere.
So if you have no budget to pay for advertising then how should you advertise your business?
Blog! Yes, you should be blogging.
I can hear people huffing and tutting at the thought of it. I get it – you don’t want to do it. You are not a writer, you have nothing to say, no-one will read them, I don’t have time…the list is endless of the reasons why you can’t or don’t want to blog.
But trust me…it works!
BUT, it only works if you do it the right way and don’t deviate from that proven method.
How To Have A Successful Blog For Your Business.
#1. Answer Questions
People type questions into Google all the time. How much does a pet sitter cost? Best Dog Groomers in New York. Best Vets in Seattle.
If we want to know something we ask Google. So when you write your blog posts you need to make sure that you have a blog titled with the exact question people type into Google.
Which would someone type into Google?
How much does a Pet Sitter Cost? Or What You Need To Know About What We Charge!

#2. Be Useful
Just as this blog article is giving your useful tips, strategies and resources for blogging, your blog posts for your Pet Business should do the same.
That might be answering questions about your service, reviewing products that your ideal customer will love or writing about pet related issues.
Whatever it is you are writing about you need to make sure it is useful for your ideal customers and not just about you, your services and your business. If you make a point of being useful your ideal customers will love you for it!
When did you last read an article where it was all about how great the company was? Probably never!
#3. Be Consistent
You have to be consistent at blogging if you want to drive traffic to your website. That means blogging at least once per week.
If you are looking for a significant increase in traffic per week then I recommend you blog 3 times per week.
Your blog posts do not need to be extremely long – 500 words is enough. Make them clear and easy to read, with good sub headers and bullet points.
Remember people like to scan articles looking for quick access to the answer to their question.
Once you develop your skills for blogging you should be able to publish a blog in 30-40 minutes.
