How Often Should You Post On Social Media For Your Pet Business?

Social Posts

You are ready to start focusing on your social media and getting some real engagement going – but you can’t decide how many times a day you should post on social media.

Is once a day too much? Are you going to annoy people if you post too often? Do you even have time to post once a day?

Firstly there is no magic number on how many times a day you should post.

But there are some things to take into consideration when deciding how often to post.

How Often Should You Post On Social Media For Your Pet Business?

Do You Have A Good Balance Of Promotional, Entertaining And Educational Posts?

Before you start posting on social media you need to take a look at the different types of posts you want to share on social media.

Your social media should make it clear what you do and what you have to offer. But at the same time it doesn’t want to be a page of ‘Buy Now’ posts.

It should strike a balance between being promotional (as we all need to sell our services) but also fun, educational and interactive.

If you strike a good balance then people will be engaged with your content so that when you do promote something you have for sale they will be ready to purchase.

Have You Tested The Posts To See What Your Audience Reacts Well To?

Once you decide on the content you would like to share then you need to test it to make sure it’s something your audience are interested in.

Having a cross section of post types is a great way to do this.

Once you post a variety of content you then need to monitor the results and do more of what works well.

Don’t just focus on likes. You could share a blog post, for example, which only gets a couple of likes – but the number of clicks into the article could be huge.

Are You Going To Make Time To Engage With People?

You can’t just post and then not be there to engage. So keep this is mind when you are deciding on the number of times you post.

If you post 5 times a day and are getting lots of comments then will you have time to answer them?

Posting at times when you know you have some free time is always a good idea so you can be there to reply to comments and chat to people.

If you are pre scheduling your content then set an alarm on your phone to remind you to check for comments. This is particularly important when you are sharing posts that are asking people to do something – for example share a picture, answer a question, give their opinion etc.
