Is Your Website Mobile Friendly?

We all search the internet on our mobile phones. In fact I think most people are searching on phones now. But what do you do when you come to a site that is NOT mobile friendly?

A lot of the time, unless it’s urgent that I read the information the site is offering, I will either remember to look later from my laptop or just skip onto the next website.

It can just be too difficult sometimes trying to navigate the site on a tiny screen – trying to zoom in and out to read what you are looking for.

And don’t get me started on trying to order from an e-commerce site that is not mobile friendly.

So why is it important now that your site is mobile friendly?

Well read what Google are doing on April 21st!

Google said that on April 21, 2015, Google’s mobile ranking factors will not only label your site as mobile-friendly, but will also use that to determine if your site should rank higher in the search results. Google said this algorithmic change will have a “significant impact” in the mobile search results, impacting all languages worldwide.

This means that if your site is not Mobile Friendly then you could rank lower in the search engine results because of it.

So you need to get it sorted ASAP. Get your website designer to set you up with a Mobile Friendly site, and if you don’t have a web designer then find someone now.
