When I first started blogging for my business I used to randomly create content about whatever I was thinking about at the time. Now don’t get me wrong, these blogs have worked very well for me.
But as I have developed my content strategy over the years I found that I need to be a bit more strategic about the type of content I was creating to keep attracting people to my website.
There are lots of reasons you want to create different types of content, but what I found was that if I categorised my content into 3 types it made it easier to make sure I was meeting all my potential clients needs whatever stage of the buying process they were at.
3 Different Types of Content to Create in Your Pet Business.
#1. Awareness Articles
These are articles that you create for people who aren’t looking for your services. Either they don’t know about them or maybe they are using a different service provider or option at the moment.
Basically, in these articles you want to get your name in front of people.
Articles of this type tend to be very shareable on social, attract a wide audience and have nothing to do with what service you provide.
Seasonal and fun articles would fit nicely into this category.
#2. Consideration Articles
These are articles you create for people who are in the market for your services. Maybe they have a problem they need solving, for example they are worried about their dog being home all day and need a solution.
They are doing their research on the industry as a whole, but not looking at your services right now.
This is where you get to show yourself as an authority in the industry.
#3. Decision Making Articles
These are articles that help your potential clients make a decision about whether you are right for them. Are you the right person to help them and how will you do that?
It’s the nitty gritty of what you do and how you do it.
These are the answers to all the questions people ask about your services.
